Egg donation

Egg donation is the process by which a woman donates her eggs for assisted reproduction.

But now, with the donation of eggs, these women can have children. Egg donation is a simple process, there is no waiting list and the availability of donors is sufficient.

Egg donation has high success rates and low miscarriage rates since the eggs come from young donors (up to 35 years old as required by law) who are healthy and without problems.

All our donors are regularly tested for HIV1,2, HCV, VDRL, HBsAg, vaginal swabs, according to Greek legislation that is similar to HFEA, as well as for karyotype and cystic fibrosis. In addition, a complete personal and family medical history is obtained.

Donors remain anonymous and can only be given specific characteristics, such as height, weight, eye and hair color, skin tone, as well as educational level and profession.

The match of the donor with the couple is determined mainly by the physical characteristics, therefore, we always need to have a photo of the couple.

All our donors live in Greece and most of them are European. We also have donors from Africa and Asia.

In addition, both the recipient and her partner are tested for HIV1,2, HCV, HBsAg and VDRL.

The donor-recipient cycle must be synchronized. The recipients receive treatment to create an artificial cycle to prepare the uterus for embryo implantation and respectively the donors receive treatment to create eggs.

Egg donation in Greece is an anonymous and altruistic act. That is, the donors are not paid for the egg donation, they are simply compensated for the working days they lose due to the process and for their travel expenses. It is not allowed for gay couples and women over 50 years.
